Background

Casie is a Pennsylvanian based self-taught artist who specialises in coloured pencil drawings and digital artwork. Her work is inspired by her love of theme parks and roller coasters.

She offers commissions and also sells posters of her most popular work.

The brief

Casie had an existing Squarespace website, but wanted it to better reflect her work and be more visually interesting. She wanted some support with her store and shipping profiles to allow her to be in a position to add more items to the store over time.

The main goals for the site were to act as a portfolio for her work and host her store.

Results

I re-built Casie’s Squarespace 7.1 website with the following solutions:

  • Crafted a minimal, dark design style throughout the website, with simple typography, to best present her artwork.

  • Created new pages for information about Casie and commissions.

  • Focused on an image-heavy design to show off her work.

  • Updated her store to resolve shipping issues and allow multiple posters to be shipped together.
